The American Innovation Act prioritizes and increases funding for basic science research across several key federal agencies. It authorizes significant appropriations for the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy's Office of Science, Department of Defense Science and Technology Programs, National Institute of Standards and Technology, and NASA's Science Mission Directorate from FY2026 to FY2035, with continued increases tied to the Consumer Price Index thereafter. These funds are protected from budget sequestration and PAYGO rules, ensuring sustained investment in scientific advancement.

The "Deliver for Veterans Act of 2025" allows the Department of Veterans Affairs to cover the costs of shipping vehicles to eligible veterans. This is in addition to the existing benefit that provides for the purchase of a vehicle. This will reduce the financial burden on disabled veterans.

The "Defending Americas Future Elections Act" repeals Executive Order 14248, which is related to preserving and protecting the integrity of American elections. It prevents the executive order's implementation and restricts the use of federal funds to access state voter registration and election-related records. This act reinforces that Congress and the States have authority over elections, not the President.

The "Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025" mandates a wide range of sanctions on Russia, its government, affiliated individuals and entities, and sectors of its economy in response to actions against Ukraine. It requires the President to make regular determinations regarding Russia's behavior and imposes escalating penalties, including financial restrictions, import bans, and increased duties, if Russia refuses to negotiate peace, violates agreements, or takes further aggressive actions against Ukraine. The Act also targets international entities that support Russia's sanctioned activities and sets conditions for the termination and reimposition of sanctions based on Russia's adherence to peace agreements.

The "Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act" directs the Secretary of Labor to establish an interim and final standard requiring healthcare and social service employers to develop and implement comprehensive workplace violence prevention plans. These plans must include risk assessments, hazard prevention measures, incident reporting procedures, and employee training. The Act also requires employers to maintain detailed records of violent incidents and submit annual summaries to the Secretary of Labor. Finally, facilities receiving Medicare funds must comply with the workplace violence prevention standard.

The Extreme Risk Protection Order Expansion Act of 2025 aims to reduce firearm-related deaths and injuries by establishing a grant program for states, Indian Tribes, and local governments to implement extreme risk protection orders, which temporarily restrict firearm access for individuals deemed a danger to themselves or others. The act also amends federal firearms prohibitions to include individuals subject to these orders and mandates the inclusion of extreme risk protection orders in national crime information databases. Furthermore, it requires states and Indian Tribes to recognize and enforce extreme risk protection orders issued by other jurisdictions and affirms Tribal court jurisdiction to issue and enforce these orders within their Indian country.

The Roberto Clemente Commemorative Coin Act directs the Secretary of the Treasury to mint and issue gold, silver, and half-dollar coins in 2027, to commemorate Roberto Clemente's life and legacy. The coins' designs will represent Clemente's human rights work and baseball achievements, with surcharges on the sale of the coins benefiting the Roberto Clemente Foundation. These funds will support the foundation's mission, including educational programs, youth sports, disaster relief, and historic preservation. The Act ensures that the coin program will not create net costs to the government and outlines specific consultations for the coin designs.
