The Foreign Adversary Risk Management (FARM) Act aims to protect U.S. agriculture by including it under the oversight of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). This bill adds the Secretary of Agriculture to the CFIUS committee and expands CFIUS authority to review transactions that could result in foreign control of U.S. businesses involved in agriculture. Additionally, the Secretary of Agriculture and the Comptroller General are required to analyze foreign influence in the U.S. agriculture industry and submit a report to Congress.

The COVER Now Act allows local governments in states that haven't expanded Medicaid to create their own programs to provide medical assistance to those who would be eligible under Medicaid expansion. The federal government would match a percentage of the costs. States are prohibited from interfering with these local programs. The Department of Health and Human Services will oversee the demonstration project and report to Congress on its impact.

The "No Medicaid for Illegal Immigrants Act of 2025" amends the Social Security Act to prohibit states from using Medicaid funds to provide medical assistance to aliens not lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. This restriction does not apply to assistance already covered under section 1903(v)(2) of the Social Security Act.

The "Federal Agency Sunset Commission Act of 2025" establishes a commission to review the efficiency and public need for federal agencies, potentially leading to their abolishment unless Congress reauthorizes them. Ultimately, the RED TAPE Act seeks to promote transparency and accountability in federal regulation by ensuring that regulatory decisions are grounded in sound economic analysis.

The FIR Act, or Forest Information Reform Act, aims to streamline environmental regulations by waiving the need for the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to reinitiate consultations under the Endangered Species Act in certain situations, specifically when new species are listed, critical habitats are designated, or new information emerges regarding land management impacts. This waiver applies when land management or land use plans are already in place.

This resolution designates February 2025 as "Hawaiian Language Month" or "ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi Month," recognizing the importance of preserving, protecting, and promoting the Hawaiian language. It acknowledges the historical suppression of ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and celebrates ongoing revitalization efforts. The Act also mandates increased data collection and reporting on foster family capacity, demographics, and challenges to better inform recruitment and support efforts at the state and federal levels.

The ALIGN Act makes full expensing permanent for qualified property placed in service after September 27, 2017, by amending Section 168(k) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. It also removes outdated clauses and updates references within Section 168(k) and amends Section 460(c)(6)(B) to clarify its application to property with a recovery period of 7 years or less. These changes are retroactive, as if included in Public Law 115-97.

This bill amends the Long-Term Leasing Act to grant the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah) the authority to enter into leases of up to 99 years for land held in trust. This allowance, as defined under section 402b of title 37, United States Code, is now classified as a qualified military benefit, providing a tax advantage to service members. This provision is applicable for taxable years ending after the enactment of this act.
