The Fire Safe Electrical Corridors Act of 2025 allows the Secretaries of Agriculture and Interior to permit electrical utilities to remove trees and vegetation near power lines on federal lands, without requiring a separate timber sale. Revenue from the sale of removed materials, minus transportation costs, goes to the respective Secretary. This bill supports the recognition of April 4, 2025, as the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. It reaffirms the United States' leadership role in global demining efforts and its commitment to eliminating landmines and unexploded ordnance worldwide. The bill also acknowledges the ongoing humanitarian challenges posed by landmines in various conflict zones, including Ukraine, and emphasizes the need for continued funding and resources for demining initiatives. Finally, it supports the goal of clearing mined areas by 2025, as expressed in the Maputo Declaration.

The STOP Health Threats Act aims to improve public health by providing grants to local governments to train local enforcement officers on identifying and addressing public health threats arising from building code violations. These grants will support the development and implementation of training programs, fostering partnerships and coordination among various organizations to enhance the officers' ability to recognize and respond to such threats effectively. Priority will be given to areas where public health threats have been identified.

The "Fair Allocation and Improvement of Regional Fleets Act" or "FAIR Fleets Act" aims to modernize the Postal Service fleet and ensure fair vehicle distribution, especially in underserved areas. It requires regular assessments of vehicle distribution, a strategic plan for improvement, and the adoption of fuel-efficient vehicles. The Postal Service must submit annual reports to Congress detailing fleet distribution and steps taken to improve service in underserved areas, which include rural areas, regions with aging vehicles, and areas with significant mail delays or high poverty rates. These changes will take effect 180 days after the enactment of this Act.

The American Music Tourism Act of 2025 directs the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Travel and Tourism to promote domestic and international travel to U.S. locations and events significant to music tourism, which includes travel to music-related attractions or attendance at music events. The Act also requires the Assistant Secretary to report biennially to Congress on the progress and challenges in achieving these travel goals.

The "Miracle on Ice Congressional Gold Medal Act" authorizes the presentation of three Congressional Gold Medals to honor the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team for their historic "Miracle on Ice" victory. These medals will be given to the Lake Placid Olympic Center, the United States Hockey Hall of Fame, and the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum for public display. The Act also allows for the creation and sale of bronze duplicates to fund the medal production.

The DISASTER Act of 2025 requires the Office of Management and Budget to submit an annual report to Congress detailing all federal disaster-related assistance spending, including obligations for response, recovery, and mitigation, starting with the fiscal year 2027 budget. This report will provide a comprehensive overview of disaster spending by agency, account, specific disaster, and type of assistance, and will be publicly available in a searchable format. The goal of this act is to improve transparency and inform budget decisions related to disaster relief.

Recognizes the crucial role of linemen in maintaining the nation's energy infrastructure and public safety. It also supports designating April 18, 2025, as National Lineman Appreciation Day to honor their contributions and dangerous work.

The DRIVE Act prohibits the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration from requiring commercial vehicles over 26,000 pounds to use speed limiting devices. This prevents the agency from mandating a maximum speed setting for these vehicles.

The Youth Lead Act amends the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998 to allocate $5,000,000 in grants annually from 2026 through 2030. These grants are specifically for youth organizations, supporting their programs and initiatives.

The "Combating Organized Retail Crime Act" aims to combat the rise in organized retail theft and related crimes by amending Title 18 of the U.S. Code to include provisions that target the theft, fraud, and illegal redistribution of goods. It also establishes an "Organized Retail and Supply Chain Crime Coordination Center" to coordinate federal, state, and local law enforcement efforts, share information, and track trends related to organized retail crime. The center will work to support training and technical assistance to combat organized retail crime and organized supply chain crime. Finally, the Act requires the evaluation of existing federal programs to identify ways to expand support for state, local, and tribal law enforcement.

The Special District Fairness and Accessibility Act aims to improve special districts' access to federal financial assistance. It mandates the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to provide guidance on how federal agencies should recognize special districts as local government units. Federal agencies will then be required to update their policies to align with this guidance. Finally, the OMB Director must report to Congress on how well agencies have implemented the new guidance.

The Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act of 2025 aims to increase affordable housing options by updating state housing credit formulas, refining tenant eligibility rules, and improving credit eligibility and determination. This includes adjusting income verification processes, modifying student occupancy rules, and protecting domestic abuse victims. The bill also focuses on Native American and rural assistance by addressing housing needs in Indian areas and streamlining income eligibility for rural projects. Additionally, it revises rules for exempt facility bonds and renames the "low-income housing tax credit" to the "affordable housing tax credit" while encouraging data sharing and discouraging discriminatory land use policies.

The "Save Our Sequoias Act" aims to protect giant sequoia groves from wildfires, insects, and drought by streamlining environmental review processes for emergency response projects, establishing a collaborative coalition, and creating a reforestation strategy. This act directs the Secretary to create agreements, assessments, and strike teams to address threats to giant sequoias on both public and National Forest System lands. It also establishes grant programs and amends existing laws to support these efforts, including stewardship contracting and good neighbor agreements. Finally, the act authorizes appropriations for these protection and restoration activities.

The "Election Results Accountability Act" amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002, setting deadlines for states to count ballots (90% within 72 hours) and certify federal election results (within 2 weeks), with exceptions for emergencies. States that fail to meet these deadlines may face withheld election administration funds unless a compliance plan is approved. These changes apply to elections held more than 90 days after the Act's enactment.

It highlights the concerning statistics around financial insecurity and lack of financial knowledge in the US.
