The NFIP Extension Act of 2025 is a short-term measure designed to continue the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). This bill specifically extends the program's authorization and financing deadlines from September 30, 2023, to September 30, 2025. It ensures the NFIP remains operational without interruption during this period.

The Postal Police Reform Act of 2025 officially designates Postal Service police officers as federal law enforcement agents under Title 18 of the U.S. Code. This legislation grants the Postmaster General the authority to establish and enforce rules for protecting Postal Service property. Violations of these new rules may result in federal fines or imprisonment up to 30 days.

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act aims to improve support for individuals diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. This bill eliminates the standard waiting period for receiving Social Security disability insurance benefits and waives the 24-month waiting period for Medicare coverage. These changes ensure immediate access to crucial financial and healthcare support upon diagnosis.

The "Ensuring Access to Essential Drugs Act" exempts certain oral drugs from the Medicare Part D manufacturer discount program under specific conditions. This exemption applies to drugs approved under section 505 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. It also applies to drugs granted a narrow exception, permitting reclassification as a noninnovator multiple source drug under the Medicaid drug rebate program by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

The POLE Act aims to protect local elections by ensuring they are held in odd-numbered years to increase focus on local candidates and issues. Starting in fiscal year 2027, states that do not allow local governments to hold elections for local offices in odd-numbered years will be prohibited from receiving federal funds for election administration. This act supports the idea that local governance is crucial and that voters should be well-informed about local representatives.

The 9/11 Responder and Survivor Health Funding Correction Act of 2025 amends the Public Health Service Act to improve the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program by expanding the types of healthcare providers who can conduct mental health evaluations, modifying provider credentialing, clarifying enrollment calculations, and extending the time frame for adding health conditions for WTC responders. The act adjusts the funding formula for fiscal years 2026 through 2090 and requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to report to Congress on the program's budget, including projected needs through 2090 and recommendations for changes to the funding formula. It also stipulates that remaining funds in the Supplemental Fund, Special Fund, and Pentagon-Shanksville Fund will revert to the Treasury.

The "Health Care Workforce Innovation Act of 2025" establishes a program supporting innovative, community-based training for allied health professionals, particularly in underserved and rural areas. Eligible applicants, such as Federally Qualified Health Centers and rural health clinics, can receive funding to launch or expand healthcare partnerships, improve workforce readiness, and encourage disadvantaged students to pursue healthcare careers. Priority is given to programs increasing access to care in underserved communities and demonstrating cost-effective, replicable models. The bill authorizes appropriations for fiscal years 2026-2028, with grants or contracts capped at $2,500,000 per grant period.

The SALT Deductibility Act repeals the limitation on individual taxpayer's ability to deduct state and local taxes. This change removes the deduction cap that was put in place and will be effective for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2024.

The POLICE Act of 2025 mandates the deportation of any immigrant convicted of, admitting to, or admitting to actions constituting the assault of a law enforcement officer. It broadly defines "assault" and "law enforcement officer" and requires the Department of Homeland Security to publish an annual report on the number of deportations carried out under this provision.
