This legislation ensures the San Jose VA Clinic will forever bear the name of the San Jose native and national hero.

This bill officially designates the United States Postal Service facility located at 1157 West Mission Avenue in Escondido, California, as the "Captain E. Royce Williams Post Office Building." The legislation ensures that all federal records and documents will henceforth use this new official name for the location.

The Extreme Risk Protection Order Expansion Act of 2025 establishes a federal grant program to help states and tribes implement and train personnel on Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs), which allow courts to temporarily remove firearms from individuals deemed a danger to themselves or others. The bill also updates federal law to prohibit firearm possession by anyone subject to a qualifying ERPO that was issued after due process. The No Secret Police Act of 2025 mandates that federal officers engaged in border security or immigration enforcement must clearly display identification, wear visible badges or uniforms, and refrain from wearing face coverings during detentions or arrests. This ensures accountability by requiring clear identification from Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel.
