This ensures medical residents are not compelled to participate in abortion procedures, assistance, or referrals against their conscience.

The PAUSE Act of 2025 immediately halts the issuance of most new visas and immigration statuses until significant changes are made to U.S. immigration law. These required changes include restricting birthright citizenship, eliminating status adjustments for temporary visa holders, and imposing severe restrictions on who can immigrate. Furthermore, the bill imposes a massive new fee on certain H-1B petitions and terminates both the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program and the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program.

This Act requires the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct a comprehensive border threat assessment on the criminal organization Tren de Aragua. The Restoring Safeguards for Dangerous Abortion Drugs Act mandates that the FDA immediately revert the safety requirements for mifepristone to the 2011 Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS). This legislation also establishes a new federal cause of action allowing individuals harmed by illegally imported abortion drugs to sue the responsible entities. Finally, the Act explicitly bans the importation of mifepristone into the United States.

This proposed constitutional amendment would prohibit members of Congress from receiving any compensation for the duration of a government shutdown. If Congress fails to pass necessary funding, Senators and Representatives will not be paid until the government is fully operational again. The amendment also grants Congress the authority to enact laws to enforce this provision.
