The "Justice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act of 2025" allows victims of certain crimes committed by aliens to sue sanctuary jurisdictions that failed to honor Department of Homeland Security requests or detainers. It mandates that states or local governments accepting specific federal grants waive immunity in these civil actions and protects state and local entities from liability when acting on Department of Homeland Security detainers. This act aims to ensure cooperation between federal and local law enforcement while holding sanctuary jurisdictions accountable for harm caused by their policies.

The CONTAINER Act allows border states to place temporary structures on federal lands along the U.S. borders with Canada and Mexico, without needing special permits, to enhance border security. These structures can remain for up to a year, with possible extensions if border control is not achieved, as determined by the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The Act streamlines the process for states to implement immediate, temporary border security measures on federal land.

The Student Empowerment Act amends the Internal Revenue Code to allow 529 savings accounts to cover a broader range of elementary and secondary education expenses, including homeschooling costs such as curriculum, materials, tutoring, and educational therapies for students with disabilities. This expansion aims to provide families with greater flexibility in using 529 accounts to support their children's education.

The "Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act of 2025" seeks to update Medicare's chiropractic coverage to reflect modern practices. It broadens coverage to include all services that Doctors of Chiropractic are licensed to perform in their state, not just manual spinal manipulation. Payment for expanded services requires doctors to attend a documentation webinar. This aims to align Medicare with other healthcare systems and improve beneficiary access to chiropractic care.

The Dismantle Iran's Proxy Act of 2025 redesignates Ansarallah as a foreign terrorist organization, imposing sanctions and requiring a strategy to restore freedom of navigation in key waterways. It sets specific timelines and standards for disciplinary actions, emphasizing the use of substantial evidence and limiting external review of penalties. The bill also protects whistleblowers and ensures that disciplinary actions are based on a thorough consideration of the employee's record and the nature of the offense. These changes will apply retroactively to misconduct or performance issues that occurred after the enactment of the Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act of 2017.

The "Miracle on Ice Congressional Gold Medal Act" authorizes the creation of three Congressional Gold Medals to honor the 1980 U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team and their historic "Miracle on Ice" victory. These medals will be given to the Lake Placid Olympic Center, the United States Hockey Hall of Fame Museum, and the United States Olympic Paralympic Museum for public display. Sarah's Law mandates the detention of aliens who were not inspected upon entering the U.S., had a revoked nonimmigrant visa, or violated their visa terms, and are charged with a crime resulting in death or serious bodily injury. It requires the Department of Homeland Security to inform victims and their families about the alien's identity, immigration status, criminal history, custody status, and removal efforts. The law also ensures that it does not diminish any rights crime victims have under existing laws.

The "Preserving Safe Communities by Ending Swatting Act of 2025" increases penalties for individuals who make false reports that cause an emergency response, including fines and imprisonment. The "Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2025" permits individuals legally authorized to carry a concealed firearm in their home state to do so in any other state that allows concealed carry, provided they possess a valid photo ID and either a concealed carry permit or the legal right to carry without one in their home state. When carrying a concealed handgun in another state, individuals must adhere to the same restrictions imposed on residents of that state. This law does not override state laws regarding the issuance of concealed carry licenses or permits.
