The Advancing GETs Act of 2025 aims to modernize the electric grid by incentivizing the adoption of Grid-Enhancing Technologies (GETs) through a shared savings program managed by FERC. The bill also mandates annual reporting on transmission congestion costs to improve transparency and requires the Department of Energy to create a public application guide and clearinghouse for GETs deployment. Ultimately, this legislation seeks to increase grid capacity, reliability, and efficiency using existing infrastructure.

The Florida Coastal Protection Act permanently prohibits the issuance of new oil and natural gas exploration, development, and production leases in designated areas off Florida's coast, including parts of the Eastern Gulf of Mexico and the South Atlantic. This measure establishes firm boundaries against new offshore drilling activities in these sensitive regions. Importantly, the Act does not affect any valid leases that were already in place prior to its enactment.

This bill reauthorizes the Military and Civilian Partnership for Trauma Readiness Grant Program under the Public Health Service Act. It extends the authorization for this grant program, which supports trauma readiness training and coordination between military and civilian medical systems. The reauthorization shifts the funding authorization period from fiscal years 2019-2023 to fiscal years 2025-2029.

This bill repeals four executive orders related to energy and environmental policies issued on January 20, 2025. It stops the use of federal funds to implement these orders, but does not reduce any existing presidential powers.

This bill amends the Small Business Act to increase the maximum additional loan amount for certain disaster loans from 20% to 30%, providing additional financial assistance to small businesses recovering from disasters.
