The Attorney General is responsible for enforcing the Act, investigating complaints, and reporting to Congress. This law overrides state and local laws regarding merchant category codes for firearm retailers and does not establish a private right of action.

The Healthcare Equality and Rights for Our Heroes Act (HERO Act) establishes a new legal process allowing members of the uniformed services to sue the United States for damages resulting from medical malpractice at military treatment facilities. This act repeals existing law and creates a new exclusive remedy against the U.S. government for injuries or death caused by negligence in military healthcare. Lawsuits must be filed within 10 years of discovering the injury, and damage awards cannot be reduced by any VA benefits received.

This action voids the recently established rules for how new and existing federal buildings must operate regarding energy use. The bill also makes necessary conforming amendments across other related federal energy and green building legislation.

This act grants the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) exclusive authority to approve or deny applications for natural gas and LNG export/import facilities, mandating that such actions be considered consistent with the public interest. The legislation clarifies that it does not limit the President's existing authority to impose sanctions through trade restrictions.

The Sharri Briley and Eric Edmundson Veterans Benefits Expansion Act of 2025 aims to increase financial support for veterans. This legislation mandates a supplemental monthly allowance for veterans receiving Aid and Attendance benefits and adjusts Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) rates based on Social Security increases.
